Wish LIST

wish list

As we started this baking adventure, we realized we needed some basic kitchen conveniences and upgrades. Below is a list of items we purchased recently and actively enjoy using in our kitchens. Note, our decision to purchase these items was not influenced by any kind of sponsorship.

You can add these items to your Wish List for Santa!

Silicone Baking Mats

We like how evenly cookies bake on silicone mats versus parchment paper. Plus, they are easy to wipe down and get ready for the next batch of cookies! Silpat was the only brand that didn’t emit any odors or discolor easily.

Wisk Wiper

If you have an electric stand mixer, you know how tedious it can be to scrape the batter off the whisk and back into the bowl. This little insert has saved us so much time when switching between attachments, and with clean-up in general. It’s only available for 4.5qt and 5qt mixers.

Electric Stand Mixer

So… much… easier…. We prefer the larger six quart bowl, but wish it had a tilting head like the five quart machines.

KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer (#Ad)

These often go on sale at Costco each fall, too. Jerret bought one the KitchenAid eBay store. Beth got hers at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Measuring Cups & Spoons

Finding the right measuring cup and spoon becomes much easier when they are color coded. Plus, this set includes those hard to find items like 3/4 cup, 3/4 teaspoon, 4 teaspoon, 2/3 tablespoon that save time and ensure accuracy.

Silicone Oven Mitts

Protect your forearms! How many accidental burns can one survive retrieving cookies from the oven?

Cookie Scoops

We like these for consistent-sized drop cookies.

1, 1.5, and 2 Tablespoon sizes.

Rolling Pin Bands

We use these to ensure even thickness for our cut-out cookies.
